I started the Cardinal Closet in a spare room in the library to support at-risk students that attend MacArthur High School. Through the support of staff, parents, and students, we have collected, organized, and distributed clothing items to students who are in need.
Verizon Innovative Learning Schools (VILS)
Professional Development Lead
The VILS initiative for high schools has been piloted in Irving ISD since the 2020-2021 school year. As a member of the VILS team, I am the Professional Development Lead. I get the privilege of curating and developing professional learning opportunities to help staff integrate the use of technology for instructional purposes.
Digital Citizenship Plan

In collaboration with the former Digital Learning Coach, Elizabeth Distler, a campus-wide digital citizenship plan was developed for the 2020-2021 school year. The DigCit program has brought awareness to students and staff alike. We even have a DigCit website.
